I cannot, for the life of me, get my school email account to setup correctly on my phone. Here are the directions our website gives us:

Except this doesn't match up exactly with the format of the default email on my Droid Bionic. The error keeps telling me that my password is incorrect. Anyone have revised directions that would actually get my email working?

    Thanks.

Try to use corporate sync might work. Also some schools make you take your phone to I.T for security reasons. Best of luck.

It looks like Google hosts the email for your school. If so, just use the regular Gmail app, no special settings needed. Just need to enter your email address (name@school.edu) and password. At least thats how it works for me.

Try removing the email extension from the login name. Can't say for sure this would work, but it does with my school's email.

With some schools, google will host the e-mail but they DO NOT have any user names/passwords. For authentication, you need to go through the school's landing page. User names/passwords are stored on some server at the school.

If that's the case, setting up through google will probably not be possible as they do not know what your password is.
