Simple question, does the SF have an LED on the top next to the ear speaker to notify you of messages? If so my 2 day old SF is broken. If not, I love this phone.

NoLED from the market. Does NOT require root. Designed specifically for Galaxy S phones

Thanks for suggestion! I already love the app, my only issue with it is that when my phone is locked and the screen is off, it has to flash the whole screen on then off before the LED starts. Any fix ideas??

The other problem with NoLED? It's a battery killer when you don't have a chance to look at your phone for a few hours and have missed a text/call that you're getting alerts for.

Most custom kernels offer a BLN option now.

Another problem with NoLed. If you are in Nav. when NoLed triggers, you lose your map for a while. Doesn't come back on its own, either. 'least not that I could tell. Voice guidance continued however. Just couldn't see where I was going. My wife suggested I just look out the windows! (mutters): KillJoy
