Game: Shoot U! (LITE) Developer:Camel Games Vers:ion1.3.5 Device game was reviewed on:Rooted Sprint HTC Hero with 2.1 ROM Small Video run through: Shoot U video Introduction Welcome to the world of Shoot U! (LITE) which lets you shoot a poor animated figure at a red ball. The (LITE) version is free on the market place and comes with 12 levels that users can play. The full version is available on the market for $2.99 and comes with 90 levels. Pros: -Free -Simple and easy to use interface and controls. -Great time killer Cons: -Only 12 levels come with the (LITE) version -Wish the controls were slightly smoother. Game Play Purpose Each level contains a different set up with blocks, springs, hinges, etc. The overall purpose of the game is to hit the red ball with the figure which is shot out of the canon. The player must attempt to do this with as few tries as possible as it allows for a higher score. Each additional shot that you make lowers your overall score. Each level is different getting harder as you progress. Some levels require more than simply shooting directly at the ball but also triggering springs and hinges in order to place the ball within shooting range. Other levels only give you one shot at the ball. If you miss that shot, you have no choice but to start the level over again. Main Menu The main menu offers a simple but very satisfying user interface. It gives players 4 optionslay game, costumise, High Score and More games. Each brings up their respective menus. Controls Controls are very simple as well. Pressing on the screen lets you choose the direction that the figure is shot in. Moving closer and further away from the canon increases and decreases the strength in which the figure is shot. While the game works pretty smoothly, I do wish it were slightly snappier, especially in levels where you only have one shot to win. This is probably a cause of my Hero, but not really a major deal breaker(It is free after all). Customization: Hitting the customise screen takes you to a basic customization screen which gives you options of 4 heads and 4 bodies of the figure that you shoot out of the canon. While it is a small feature, I must admit it is something that adds a great touch to the game. Conclusion Overall the game is an excellent way to kill some time whether it be waiting for the train or bus or just waiting until your next meeting. Personally I use it while waiting for my classes to begin. The (LITE) version is free so there is no harm in downloading it and giving it a go. If you decide that you really enjoy the game, you can download the paid version. The game proved to be very stable for me and I experiences no force closes. Give Shoot U! a go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
