Hello. Can a shortcut be created in Android for single actions, such as turning the Hotspot on?

Yes, I have a crappy phone. I wanted to sign up for Visible and my Samsung S6 was not compatible with their system, so I traded it in for the free ZTE A3 Prime. I rarely use a phone since I retired. It's running Android Ver 10.

Welcome to Android Forums, DennisG! :)

Yes, most likely by using a widget. I'm guessing that you're using the stock launcher that came with your phone; kindly correct me if I'm wrong!

Try long-pressing anywhere [a blank area] on a home screen and see if that brings up the option to add a widget. Let us know and we'll get you going from there.

Damn. That worked a treat! All set-up. Now I can turn my hotspot on and off from the home screen! Thanks so much!

Not to be a party pooper, but I just tried this on my wife's Galaxy S9 and the Setting section does not come up in the available widgets?
