    Hello everyone!

I came across a reviewer on Amazon.com that had a lot of neat tips and shortcuts for our EVO 3D. They might only be useful to new people, like myself, but I thought I would share anyway. :)

+ Block spam or annoying phone calls: save the number to your contacts, then choosing "Block Caller" from the contact's detail screen!
+ Press and hold Home from within any app: shows last 8 used apps for fast app switching
+ Press Home from any home screen: shows all 7 home screens for easy switching
+ Press and hold Menu from any app: usually brings up the on screen keyboard
+ Press and hold Back from Web browser: brings up Web history
+ Press and hold Search from anywhere: brings up voice activation (see Voice Actions below)

    ---

"Here are a list of Voice Actions (and examples) you can use after holding down the Search button."

    + Send text messages
Say "send text to [recipient] [message]*"
e.g. "send text to Allison Miller Running late. I will be home around 9"

    + Listen to music
    Say "listen to [artist/song/album]"
    e.g. "listen to the decemberists"

    + Get directions
    Say "navigate to [address/city/business name]"
e.g. "navigate to the DeYoung Museum San Francisco" or "navigate to 1965 Page St."

    + Call businesses
    Say "call [business name] [location]*"
e.g. "call Pizzeria Venti Mountain View"

    + Call contacts
Say "call [contact name] [phone type]*"
    e.g. "call Allison Miller home"
    + Send email
Say "send email to [recipient] [subject]* [body]*"
e.g. "send email to Mike LeBeau How's life in New York treating you? The weather's beautiful here!"

    + View a map
    Say "map of [address/city]"
    e.g. "map of San Francisco"

    + Go to websites
    Say "go to [website]
    e.g. "go to Wikipedia"

    + Write a note
    Say "note to self [message]"
e.g. "note to self grocery list banana milk eggs pizza"

    + Search Google
    Say "[your query]"
e.g. "pictures of the golden gate bridge at sunset""

Do you have any shortcuts or tips that make the EVO 3D experience better?

At least for me, this goes to that artist in Pandora--I seem to remember a window popping up that said I could choose other options when I first tried it. At least when it first came up, there was supposedly no way to use it to call for albums stored on your phone, though that may have changed.

When I'm driving long distances, it is quite common for me to say "navigate to McDonalds" and choose a Micky D from the list it will pop up on the screen.

Yeah, when I ask for music a message pops up and says "In order to use this feature, download a music application which supports this action from the Android Market."

The only thing the online list has that I recognize is Pandora :(

That's a good idea for restaurants on the way though! :)
