should I buy an android 2.2 device?

    Should i buy the coby mid8024 for 199.00. it runs android 2.2. is it worth it or should i get an android 3 or 2.3 device? can i upgrade the os to an android 2.3 os?:thinking:

    Cheap-o manufacturers like that will probably never upgrade the software, so its best to get the newest os you can.

    Don't ever buy a phone based on the OS! IF you want to upgrade to a better or more up to date OS you can always just root your phone and upgrade to a better ROM. Choose your phone based on hardware.

    Are you talking $200 retail or contract price?

    realy? what can a nook do that a kyros cant? whats the processor speed n the nook?

    Better touch screen (captive vs resistive) overclockable to 1.1ghz, dev support, so when honeycomb source drops it will get it (it already has a 3.0 sdk port)

    These specs can handle Honeycomb right? so why is this a bad choice besides suport? cant it be rooted ?
