I'm thinking about my situation right now. I have an iPod touch 3rd gen 32 gigs. I have it jailbroken with Installous, so I am constantly downloading apps trying them out, then removing them.

I recently purchased the Magellan iPhone dock to make the iPod a GPS unit. Since the Incredible has free Nav, I don't see the need to have to use the Touch.

I only have about 10 gigs worth of music, so I could get a 16 gig card and fit all my music and Howard Stern on it. I would think with the left over that comes on the phone I can install the apps I want (wifi tether, google maps, the weather channel, maybe some sort of document reader if not loaded already).

I don't want to use my phone for games, so maybe that is a reason for me to keep it. I don't really play games too much, but I do from time to time. I don't know if it is worth keeping another device to do it though.

I want everyone's advice. I really hate carrying my phone and my ipod in regular clothing, so I would hate to carry the Incredible and the iPod touch.

I'm keeping my Touch just because of the games... I think of it this way, when I am traveling and I bring both, my iPod dies, I'm slightly bored -- but if my phone dies, I am cut off. No way am I letting that happen.

    Keep it.

Im keeping the touch for my music, especially in the car.....but if you are going to use the incredible for music, nav, and everything, then i would sell the ipod, no sense in carrying them both around

Keep it. Both devices together are invaluable. I use it now with my BB Storm.

I'm keeping mine due to the games. "Words with Friends" is by far my favorite app. Hopefully it comes to Android eventually.

Right now I carry two cell phones (one personal and one for work) plus an iPod Touch. I am looking forward to reducing the number of devices I carry. I will be keeping my iPod Touch and giving it to my kids. If you don't have anyone to give it to, I'd sell it and use the money toward the Incredible and an SD card.

I have a 64 GB iPod Touch and I have no intentions of selling it. I use it daily at work, home, and the gym. It's almost full. While I mostly use it as a music player, I do watch videos on it from time to time. From what I understand, the iPod Touch handles video much better than the Incredible. Plus, I love the Genius playlist feature for long drives.

My primary computer is my MacBook Pro, and there are several apps such as Remote and Rowmote Pro which allow me to use my iPod as a remote. Although I haven't done much research in this area, I don't think I'll find an Android app that will turn the Incredible into a remote as seamlessly as the above mentioned apps do for my iPod Touch.

This is just my paranoia coming into play, but I always like to have a back-up. If the Incredible meets an unfortunate end, you'll have the iPod Touch to use as a back-up for music, navigation, etc. - almost everything the Incredible does except for making phone calls - until you can replace the Incredible. I tend to take very good care of my electronics, but crazy things do happen.

I have a 3rd gen 32gb Touch and I am definitely keeping it for games and music. I have slowly started deleting apps that need an internet connection to work and ones that I have found in the android market though.

I am debating what music I want to put on my Incredible. I have about 5gbs of music, but I don't plan on putting even half of that on my phone. I was thinking about maybe just the music I use to work out so I can bring only my phone to the gym, BUT I would rather lose/drop my touch then my phone so that option might go out the window lol. Plus, I don't want my phone to get all sweaty! :D

I might do no music at all, but we will see. I did get a 16gb sd card so I have the space.

Actually, there is an android app that turns your Android into a remote control for your computer. Its called "remotedroid". Also, I'm not sure if its as good as an ipod but I am able to have playlists on my phone no problem. I have like 6 of them with all my music filed in each category I choose and when I drive, I just hook it up to the car and listen to it. Its just like an ipod.

I'm selling my 16 GB 2nd gen Touch. I don't see any reason to keep it after the Incredible arrives.

This is why I like this place. Thanks for the tip about "RemoteDroid." I'll definitely look into that once I purchase an Incredible.

I also found Remote for iTunes, which apparently will allow you to control iTunes from your Android phone. It's still in beta, but it appears that I might have found a reason to completely relegate my iPod Touch strictly to a music/video player. :)

I'm possibly going to buy the Incredible since I don't want to leave Verizon for ATT in order to get an iPhone. There's no way that I would sell my iPod Touch. In fact, I might buy the 4G when it's available in September. The App Store is solid and I wouldn't want to lose access to it. Plus the iPod Touch is great for music, video, and games.

Me too. My buddy is buying it for $150. That pays for my Incredible.

I'm on the fence. I use my iPod for 75% music, 15% facebook, 10% random web browsing. I don't really care about any other apps.

It's not like I'll be carrying them around both, though. Which means my iPod will do a lot of collecting dust.. I'm not really sure when I will use it at all, I just don't want to sell it cause it's been such a great device...

I use mine for about the same thing, but I'm going to definitely be keeping it because of how much music I have that is DRM protected. Unfortunately I bought a lot of music through iTunes and now I have to pay the price.

I kept my Ipod simply because I have a nice stero / alrarm clock that is small sounds great but only works well with Ipod when I plug my Eris or anything else into the aux it works but doesn't get even half as loud as an Ipod in the dock.

But I completely stopped loading new music on my Ipod and strictly just carry my BB and my Eris but when I get my Incredible I will be forwarding all my phone calls from my BB to my Incredible and all my work emails setup on it so I wll go from what use to be 3 devices then 2 now just 1. Very excited for this lol

Thats what I hated about itunes, I couldn't use the music that was downloaded through itunes anywhere else besides my ipod. Unless I am ignorant of a way to use it elsewhere?

I'll be keeping my ipod touch but only for 1 reason. An app called LoseIt!, it really nice and has helped me lose 40 lbs in about 6 weeks, so i say that it alone is well worth the price. I have heard rumors of it coming out on android sometime in the future but i don't know when. When it does then i'll sell my ipod touch 3g.
