Help Should I update to 2.3.6?

I just rooted my admire.is running the stock 2.3.4. In the All things root thread I see something about Regarding the 2.3.6 Update & MetroPCS (Solved)
Should I update my phone to 2.3.6 or I should just leave with the stock version 2.3.4

Hi, Danieliyo. I should direct you to the right path. That link that you have is the unoffical update to admire 2.3.6 which loses data and mms. It was corrected but problems till abound like mms somepeople have it workin others dont (Not being able to send pictures.)

ON AUG 1, 2012 Samsung release a OFFICAL update to the MetroPCS Samsung admires
Heres the link to the post with right update link... http://androidforums.com/admire-all-things-root/597027-root-problems-2-3-4-2-3-6-a.html#post4781352. I do not know if this Offical update has a root yet?

I will test this Offical update soon with my phone after I back it up.

Thanks, I did not know it was unofficial.thank you for that. So is better to just stay with the 2.3.4 version since people are also having problems with 2.3.6 on rooted admires.
