If you have any other questions (which you probably will) feel free to open a new thread, and ask. These forums are full of users, including myself, that would be happy to help. I hope you enjoy your new Note.

Still fiddling with using the stock launcher, though eventually I'll go back to Launcher Pro+

Looks great! I'm surprised so many people like LauncherPro or ADW on the Note. I have the paid version of both apps, and couldn't stand using them. I think it mainly has to do with hardware acceleration. The Touchwiz launcher supports hardware acceleration to make flipping through homescreens much smoother. Sure, I miss all of the added features and animations with LP and ADW, but the smooth transitions are worth it.

Personally, this is the launcher I've been dying to try out.

Whoa, so there must be a major drawback to that much function.

In relation to the smoothness issue on alternate launchers someone raised above: custom GB ROMs significantly improve this, and ICS fixes it altogether. I'm on ICS and would never use TouchWiz now.

There is an ICS AOSP rom available for the Note now, so you don't have to have Touchwiz. :)

Oh right on. Honestly I hated touchwhiz on first gen Galaxy devices but it's really not bad on the Note.
