    Hi Guys
    First timer here
What could be causing my HTC Desire to make a camera shutter sound when my phone is just lying on my night stand on but not in use. Doesn't happen every night but sometimes. I'll be working on my laptop when I hear the distinctive sound of a camera shutter going off. Can't see anything on the phone screen to indicate a picture was taken. Checked gallery nothing there either. Could this be something associated with an application I may have downloaded? It is concerning me because I can't work out what is going on.

Does anyone else have this issue.

And for those that don't read...this is not about camera shutter sound volume. I'm not using the camera when this occurs.
    Thank you:thinking:

That is odd. The camera sound is in system/media/audio/UI I believe. Other folders here are ringtones, notifications, alarms.

Not using sense roms anymore so I dont know if you can select an alarm for an SMS or vice versa. If its not that, yes perhaps an app could do that. But what apps have you got? There *must* be an event somewhere that is triggering this.

    Thanks SU Root

Your reply got my "Grey Matter" working and I started to search functions/Settings on recently downloaded apps.
I found Battery Booster and in "Performance" I could see "On Battery Full" (beep on battery full) which led to (Beep Tone) which led to "CAMERA SHUTTER" Bingo radio icon selected was green. Problem solved! Thank so much for triggering my "Grey Matter" No more worries that I have spy ware or some virus! Or worse still a trojan within an app. I'm really grateful.
