Some professional reviews (engadget and phonescoop) have noted signal strength issues with the Droid 2. For example, see:
Review: Motorola Droid 2 : The Three S's (Phone Scoop)

Particularly for those who have/had other Verizon phones, have you noticed any signal strength problems, trouble with calls, or slow data??

I haven't had a dropped call yet, but I have noticed fluctuations in signal strength, and I'm seeing the dreaded 1X more than I should.

My experience is similar to Frootbat. I have had some dropped calls, but there's a dead spot in my apartment that my previous phone dropped calls in too.

No dropped calls here, and no apparent loss of data signals. But my signal meter changes randomly.

I also see swings in my reception, though I haven't dropped a call yet. I find it very rare that I get all 4 bars where my previous phone (blackberry 8330) would always have full signal.
