Silence upon startup? Desire no sounds or vibrations when turning phone on.

    When I turn my phone on, I get a vibration or two, sounds, etc.

    How do I set my phone to start-up in silence?

    No sounds, vibrations, etc.

    The only way to do this is with a rooted phone I beleive.

    The two sound files are:
    1./system/media/android_audio.mp3 and/or /system/customize/resource/android_audio.mp3
    2./system/media/bootscreen/boot.mp3
    You can disable sound by rename or delete these .mp3 files, for boot.mp3, you can edit /system/media/bootscreen/boot_animation.xml and change useAudio="1" to useAudio="0" to disable boot.mp3 sound.

    The viberation, i think is controlled in hboot, so don't know how to change it so far.

    If the phone is on silent when you switch it off, it will boot silently. I think it still vibrates though.
