I really cannot stand the shutter sound of my new galaxy s2 which I got for about a week. ad I am not planning to root my phone, the I would like to get some advises on how can I silence the shutter sound..... I have tried Tasker, have tried updating thru software via kies...... it kept saying I'm on the newest version which is 2.3.5....

Appreciate if anyone can help on this. Thanks!!!!!

I do not understand. If I pull down my menu at the top of my screen and put my phone in the silent/vibrate only mode, my camera does not make any sound!

Which firmware are you on? I'm aware that some people on 2.3.4 can simply turn to silent mode to turn off the shutter sound but this just doesn't work on mine.

Sorry I am on 2.3.4 which has worked well for me. Not really looking to upgrade unless there is an improvement to be had.
