SIM Contacts in People

Hi folks. I recently flashed my Hero to have SenseHero 2.2. Before that, I had a stock Orange Hero on Android 1.5.

In my phonebook, by that I mean the People app, I used to only show my Phone contacts and hide the SIM contacts.

Since I've upgraded, the only options I have in the View option in People is Google or Phone. But my SIM contacts are also shown, and I want to hide them.

Is there a way to do this?

It's because it is a CDMA port, which does not use sim cards. Some people over at XDA came up with a fix for ROM development, but not as an update yet. So in the very least, if the ROM you have implements that fix, you might see it fixed in the next release.

When I was running Villain 5.3, I was forced to get an app called Offline Contacts sync, to save all my contacts, and then I just deleted the sim contacts after copying them to phone.

Ah right, didn't know there was a difference. Oh well, at least I know now so I can work round it.

Noob question - but what's CDMA?

CDMA is a different radio technology. The two major are CDMA and GSM. Any phones which use SIM cards use GSM technology (AT&T, T-Mobile, Telus to name a few). Some phones do not use SIM cards and have everything built into hardware. These are CDMA phones (such as Verizon and Sprint).
