Can anyone provide simple step by step instructions to go from stock 2.2.1, 2.3.340 to stock GB please? I've read all the TBH, sbf, etc, etc, threads till my eyes are blurry. Complete newb, no plans to root. Also, if I do this will I still get OTA updates?

wait for ota, that would be my advice

now if you want root, deodexing for themes etc, then the instructions p3 had on his site work great, I actually sbfd last week, make a backup of that, so today flashed from my Apex 1.4.1 w honeybread back to that stock sbf restore, flashed the GB leak then the deodexed one a little later and had no issues what so ever.

LOL, I should've said "read over it". That tells me how to get back to stock 2.3.340, i'm already stock 2.3.340, I need instructions from here. I need to root and bootstrap something or other, then I can install GB?

Now download and install z4root and run it to permanently root your phone. Next, download and install the D2 (Droid2 - NOT Droid X) version of the Bootstrap utility. Run that one by clicking the first button, then after the success ok! box appears, click the second button (there's only 2 buttons). Assuming you have copied the dxgbroot.zip file to your SD card already, just choose it in the Clockwork Recovery mode when your phone reboots.
