It used to be if I went to the movies, I would go system, sounds, then pick either mute, or vibrate.

I don't see that option since the update. Stupid question, but how do I quickly put the phone in silent mode?

If you hold the power button a small menu pops up with options to restart, power off etc

I created a profile in Tasker that looks at my Google calender and mutes the phone while I'm in a meeting. I now schedule my movie times and I don't have to worry about muting the phone before the movie. My profile will even text the person that calls or texts me and tells them I'm in a meeting. I love technology when it actually works for you... :)

you can also use the volume down button until it stops at vibrate then hit the volume down button one more time and it mutes.

I feel obligated to add to this. The upper right corner of the lock screen INITIALLY gives you choices between Sound On and Vibrate.

It is only after you get your phone into Mute some other way that your options are Sound On and Mute. And that second option will switch between Vibrate and Mute depending on the most recent way you have had your phone soundless.

(This particular fact has made me use vibrate mode extremely rarely, because I like having the option on my lock screen always be Mute, not Vibrate.)

It switches between the last volume setting you used. For instance, if you used vibrate then the lock screen toggle will remember that.

To get it to give you the mute selection, simply use your volume keys to select mute and the next time you turn your Razr screen on, the lockscreen toggle will show mute again.

Just hold the power button until you get the power down popup. At the bottom of the popup are selections for Silent, Vibrate, or Ring. Easiest way I know to do it.

It being the fact that I turn it off only when I reboot ... I never noticed that.

Thank you for the VERY useful piece of information.
