Skype for HTC Desire

Just downloaded it from market and it worked great first time (over WLAN) Most articles seem to suggest it won't work on the desire including skype themselves (if you try to install it from their site)

when i search in market with skype, it doesn't come up with skype. can anyone help from where can i get skype on my mobile "HTC Desire". i even tried from different website by scanning qr codes but was of no use.

help needed

I have installed Skype Mobile on my Desire (yesterday). However, this morning I woke up with three serious issues, each preventing me from using my phone at all!
1. android.process.acore has stopped working unexpectedly
2. com.android.phone.com.htc.bgp...
3. process.com.google.android.com....

Now what to do? The first issue only seems to be known related to Facebook contact issues. The other two don't lead to anything when searching for them. Hard factory reset the only option?
