Now that my Epic is running Gingerbread, I was able to test Skype, and found that my camera is no longer rotated 90 degrees. But as expected, 3G performance isn't that great.

When I tried to use Skype in 4G mode, the app didn't seem to want to use the 4G connection. Attempts to login would simply time out after a minute or so.

Signal strength wasn't an issue--4G reception was good, and other apps were freely communicating over 4G.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to correct it?

    Thanks.

When I am logged in and IMing, if I turn on 4G, it will disconnect and wait until I turn off 4G to send anything.

Must be something in the app that can't or won't use the 4G network then. Hopefully, that will change in an upcoming release of the Skype app.
