Help Skype won't allow video calls on Desire S

I've been using Skype for video calls on my Galaxy S no problem but on my dads Desire S he doesn't get the option to allow video calls like I do on my phone, even though his is listed as a supported device... His front facing camera is working fine outside of skype...

Anyone know a way around this issue?

Is he definitely connected to WiFi? I don't think video enables over 3G

Yes hes definitely connected to WiFi... Very wierd, I've done some googling and I can't see it mentioned as an issue anywhere
