I just read a few threads about peoples SD cards getting wiped and if I had to guess its something to do with SLACKER.

Did you read all the threads?? Seems like the one common key among all the people affected is the slacker app.

Some didn't use Slacker, some say it may be related to Dolphin. I use both programs and have not lost anything yet. But I will back up my files frequently after seeing this issue hit several other users.

My card has been wiped in the last hour or so. I have not used Slacker or Dolphin Browser. I was not using the phone when it happened. Really pissed at the moment!

Backing mine up now (I backup every weekend). I don't have Slacker installed at the moment, but have used it in the past w/out incident.

Maybe an interaction problem between Slacker and 2.01?

We'd need some pretty good evidence to "convict" Slacker...more than "Hey, I use that program too!" level of coincidence.

Try some file recovery SW on it...your files are likely all still there an intact, just the directory info got wiped or something like that.

There are several reviews in the market about people that have used slacker and have had their SD cards wiped.

I've used Google Voice, and my SD is perfectly fine. I'll bet Google Voice immunizes the Droid from spontaneous SD wipes. :D

Nice try , I use Google Voice as well and my card was relentlessly wiped anyways... ;)

I've been using Slacker since day 1 and have had no problems with my card. I believe the culprit is elsewhere.
