slide bar icon/button glitch in Froyo (not velocity)

Just noticed that when I receive a call sometimes the slide bars do not have the correct orientations, ie: Holding phone in "portrait" orientation, but the icons for the slide bars appear as they would if I was holding the phone in "landscape" orientation.

The bars still slide side to side, but they are cut off/chopped up because they are pointing in the wrong direction... I don't know if i'm explaining this clearly, at least I think I am. The bars appear to want to slide up (as indicated by the arrows), however they slide sideways and the call is answered as usual.

Not a big deal, doesn't happen all the time, not even sure if its a velocity issue to begin with. Anyone else run into this?

    Edit: Its a Froyo thing.

I don't think this is a velocity issue. I have had this orientation issue with sliders since it was stock. Not often though...just every once in awhile the phone or unlock sliders or even unlock patterns do exactly as you describe. Its nothing that can't be ignored though as it can still be answered or unlocked. Sorry no real answer for you.....jus sayin I think its just an occasional android glitch. I could be wrong though but I think you just have to live with it for now....sry.

I'm not entirely sure... I think so because I never deleted/replaced the launcher that came with 2.2.1/velocity.

Its a froyo thing, it happened to me on stock a few times. Its just a bug.

Sometimes the call/end sliders when you are receiving a call are up and down in portrait mode instead of side to side.

Well the general consensus is that it is just a Froyo glitch... no biggie it's just more of a visual distraction than anything. Hopefully somebody who matters will notice this and it will get fixed on down the line.

Not sure if I am interepreting what you are saying correctly, but if you go into "Settings" and uncheck "Auto Rotate Screen" I think that should fix your problem. Hope that is what you were referring to.

That was pissing me off. Itbwas set to auto rotat default. I only want it to rotatebwhen I slide the kbd.

Good advice. That may take some of the instances down where it will do it, but it still occasionally does it to me, and I always have that unchecked.

I dont have this exact issue, but I did just notice a lockscreen issue on my phone. Whenever I'm on the lockscreen and slide the kb out, it automatically unlocks to the home screen. This is without the pattern or code lock on, just the slider lock.anybody know anything about this?

I believe its supposed to do that as part of froyo. If you use any lockscreens or patterns it will stay locked when kb is open. Not sure why they did that, I guess they figure if the phones not security locked and the kb is opened then there should be no need for the lockscreen, just a convenience thing for some people.
