Help Slow Droid 2

So I'm using a Motorola Droid 2 Global running Android version 2.3.4 and my phone has recently once again started to lag and get slower. I've had this phone for over a year now. Searching has suggested I try using a different launcher to speed it up, but I can't seem to find anything recently posted suggesting the best launcher to use for this phone, since it's an older model by now.

Any suggestions for which launcher to use, or tips to speed up my phone?
