my wife's htc Desire has received a message that is a link to a website (we would like to delete the link from the messages page). the usual process of selecting the message and the delete option doesn't present on this particular message - can anybody guide me as to what I am doing wrong here (or is this a 'defect' other than in myself:thinking:)?

    Welcome to Android Forums, Kluger.

If you mean a text message, you should be able to delete it. When you open the messaging app you see all the threads (groups of messages from different sources), if you long-press (touch and hold for 2 seconds or more) the offending message 'delete thread' should be one of the options. That will remove all messages from that particular sender. If you tap the thread you can long-press individual messages within the thread and delete them. You might have to scroll the menu to see the 'delete message' option.
