    Hi,

It seems that there is a big delay in receiving email notifications (and probably all other notifications) on my Nexus S, at least when compared with my old HTC Hero.

Once I receive in an email in the browser Gmail, it takes about 5 minutes for the notification to appear on my phone.

How can I see and adjust the push settings for Gmail on my phone??

    Thanks,

    TD

I can't say I'm having the same problem. I receive the notification on my phone within seconds of receiving the email in Gmail. Where I do see a delay is when I make changes to the messages with my phone, such as marking emails as read/unread, deleting, etc. Changes I make through my phone take 10-30 seconds to show up in the web browser version of Gmail.

Perhaps it's an issue with the way your Wi-Fi and/or cell data is set up?

Where in the phone to I manage push alerts, specifically for Gmail?

In the iPhone, users can customize between push and pull times..
