Support small annoyance, but annoying

    whenever i get a phone call, the number comes up, and the contact its linked with shows, but so does the cell tower location...anyway of disabling this annoying town/state info,,,,all i need is incoming number and name if contact

    i think its only for the first 15 days.. since its part of a free trial on your phone (see app cityID in the app drawer)

    you might be able to disable it in there too? but i dunno i kinda like it. thought it was kinda neat myself

    So, it seems this city id is there, and cannot be disabled. I heard after 14 days it will ask u to join after each call. This cannot be! Gotta be able to disable.

    Well, just uninstall the CityID app, it's not hard.

    How did you uninstall it? I try and it will not let me.

    U cannot uninstall, this is the problem

    I couldn't figure out how to uninstall it either. I did notice this is also installed on my WinMo Touch Pro too, but it has never been a problem on that phone. I guess I'll just put up with it. I hope it isn't as annoying when I swap the Touch Pro for a Moto Droid next week.

    This is from cityID support (cequint.com).
    If you are still getting the reminders I would suggest contacting them directly to get it resolved.
