So when I first got the phone I somehow got a picture on the "desktop" that was cropped. It was on top of my wallpaper but small in the upper left hand corner. I have NO clue how I did this but would like to do it again. Anyone know how? I have the samsung moment.

Welcome to the forums. It's probably a picture frame widget. Just long press on an empty space, select widgets, and scroll to the picture frame widget.
