The missus has been suffering from a couple of small problems since updating to 2.3.3 via the official T-Mobile software update.

When the phone has been asleep for a period of time and is woken up by pressing the power button, and the screen is unlocked by sliding down, the wallpaper hangs and doesn't display the home screen.

    Is this a common problem?

If not, I suppose I'll have to see if it's the work of a rogue app.

It's not been mentioned before as far as I'm aware.

    Cheers mate.

I think I may have narrowed down the problem to an app called SMS Popup. She says the problem occurs when she receives a message and it didn't occur prior to the update.

My old man also has the Desire HD and has just updated. He doesn't use SMS Popup and hasn't suffered the same problems.

Spot on, thanks for letting us know.

SMS Popup was a recommended fix for the notifications issue with the 2.2.1 update so a few folk may still have it installed. I'll keep a note of that in case others are having the same issue.
