Help smart stay & smart pause.

I am 61 years old and this is the first smartphone I've ever had. I can't figure out how to get to smart stay and smart pause to work on this g5. they show to be turned on in that little drop down box on the top of the phone.the green lights are on. when I turn my head the video keeps right on playing.

Hello and welcome to the Android forums and the world of smart phones. I don't own the S5, but the S4, which is where your S5 got its feature from. Make sure that you are using the stock video player app. (Smart features only work with stock apps.) Also, make sure all sensors aren't covered. How far back are you away from your phone when trying to use this feature?
