Help SMS messages are sent twice

Hi, I am from Hong Kong and 100% new to Android. Milestone is my first Android phone... I have questions as below:

Whenever I send SMS by Messaging tool and press 'enter' key (next to ., button on QWERTY virtual keyboard), the SMS will be sent out and sent twice. I am intending to input 'new line' character instead of sending it immediately. I like to ask:
1. Is it a bug in Milestone?
2. How could I input multi-line message in the messaging window before submission?

Did you try using the keypad down?

Do you mean using QWERTY slider and pressing keypad down? It doesn't work for me. I tried this and got not response (no send out or newline) at all.

Now I have to press the Send UI button instead of pressing the enter key on QWERTY.

Hi,

Alt + enter on the keypad gives a new line in the message.

im using hk milestone and it works fine for me....perhaps you should hard reset your phone?
