sms niggles

    hey all

    i use the stock sms app and i like to use the mobile phone keyboard for texting.

    however it does not give me all the options like open brackets, sterling, etc how do i get these up?

    also, it always defaults to XT9.

    how do i get round this?

    thanks

    p.s. i dont really want to install handcent app

    May I ask why you dont want to install Handcent?

    Press 12# and you'll see the symbols

    thanks. i'm able to get the symbols up.

    i shouldnt have to install an sms app for sending text messages!! i come from a two year old samsung soul and the sms system on that phone is so polished it makes this

    Search n install jonasl@xda mod kb, it has better on-screen characters, the ones u want w/out switching screens

    Yep 12# and all the symbols are there on four pages. Use the arrows on the right the page up and down.
