SMS Pro question?

I hope I posted this in the correct forum. I recently downloaded SMS pro on my HTC Aria, and it seems to be working fine, however, when I receive a text it will pop up on the SMS pro app as well as my default messaging app. I need to figure out how to disable notifications coming in from my default messaging and just notify me from the SMS pro app. Thanks

Go to the native messaging app and uncheck the popup notifications in settings

Well, I did that already but there is nothing on there indicating where I can uncheck the notifications. Not sure if I am going to right place on my phone or not...step by step instructions would be helpful if you could share those? Thanks

Open your message icon
Hit menu key on phone
Hit settings tab
Uncheck " received notification"
That should do it. I had to do same thing when I started using the app.

Im liking Pro so far... Only issue is notification sounds. It seems that when I want to change notifiacation sound, it only gives me ringtone options, not notification sounds. I obviously don't want a ringtone going off each time I get a message. Any help or ideas other than downloading notification tones??
