    Hello
I recently updated my HTC Desire HD and now run android version 2.3.3 .
Since then, when i try to compose sms and want to use the 'back' button to amend spelling, it freezes, momentarily, and aks me if i want to delete the message. I cancel that command, but it takes me to the very first message from that contact and i have to scroll all the way from the first sms to the one i want to send or i have to save this mesage as a draft and then open and edit it from this point. Also, there is another annoying element to messaging, as when i try to change the place of the cursor, in a mesage a little green 'droplet' inserts itself and i have to wait for this to disappear before i can scroll back and forth through the message.
Sorry this is long-winded, but if anyone has a solution to share I would be grateful :)

    Welcome to the forums!

I know that quite a few people have suffered problems due to the update.

Are you using the stock messaging app? If so, have you tried using a 3rd party app - I use Go! SMS... I have been quite impressed with it and have recomended it to a few people.

I know there's a bit of a buggeration factor, but try giving a different messaging app a go and let us know if that solves (or doesn't solve) your problem.

By Jove! I think you've cracked it!
Seemingly, this sems to have done the trick and saved me from going quietly mad - it even has pretty clouds in the background!
Thank you very much for the advice

I had this problem, was really annoying me. I got the Swiftkey X keyboard app and it now works perfectly, took a bit of getting used to the slight differences in the input but it means you don't need a different SMS app.
