So I recently got a LG Optimus One and my girlfriend for awhile now has had a LG Optimus Chic.

We text each other a lot and whenever I send long texts (still under 160 characters) she will receive it in split up parts, but she can text me over 160 characters and I will receive it all as one text.

I also have noticed when others send her long texts they get split up into multiple parts. I was wondering if there is something we can do to fix this or if it is because of one of our phones or services providers (I am with Telus and she is with Bell).

    Anyways thanks for any help!

It's a limitation of cdma networks, you can only text 160 characters. Different carriers will split it depending on the capabilities of their networks.

You might consider using gMail instead of SMS. gmail is as instantaneous as text, and there is no character limit.

Yeah it isn't a huge issue. She just tends to get the 02/02 before the 01/02 message so it's a little inconvenient. Was just checking if there was a solution.
