This conversion is not your Network Operator's fault.
It is Samsung's stock messaging app that does this conversion.

If you insist on using the stock app and you dont want it to auto convert long SMS (I think it converts after 4 SMS) then the only way to do this is to use a modified mms.apk. This is a common mod done many times by lots of ROM developers (eg. it is a mod in Sale's excellent Neat ROM)

The updated mms.apk needs to go into /system/app.

In order to be able to do this, you need to be rooted of course.

You dont need a custom ROM in order for the mod to work. If you don't particularly want to install a custom ROM, then you can just install the mod by rooting your device first, and then install it.
