Hello everyone. I was wondering what was the best SMS/MMS app everyone was using or are most of you using the default messaging on the Eris? I've been hearing different reviews regarding the Handcent vs. Chomp. Is there anything else out there that is pretty good? I actually like the default messaging on the Eris because it shows my pic and the contact's pic during the conversation. The only thing I really don't like is that you don't know when you reach your 160 characters because it doesn't have a counter (or does it and I don't have it activated maybe?). Just wondering if anyone had any advice.

I tried handcent but went back to the default because I like the look better and handcent seems to lag a bit.

i use handscent now. i've used chomp and the stock sms app. I like handscent but I did not like the bubbles. It looked childish and just... *** (no offense to anyone!) lol.

So i changed the style of the messages and everything is just great. I like how handscent lets you do a quick reply to text messages from any app that you're currently in instead of having to exit and go to the message app.
