What are they...and can they be removed? What is Citrix? I Googled it and I still can't figure out what it does. I don't want CityID. Can I remove it? DLNA - what software do I need to have on my computer to access my music? Can I do it through my TiVo? Without a server available this is useless... Nova appears to be a game of some sort--is it any good? Is Slacker sort of like Pandora? How is it different? What does Social Location do? Is Latitude sort of like Foursquare? Is there a difference? Is Talk just a Google chat app?
Need root!! its just typical verizon bloatware. I can't say I'll ever use any of it.. maybe quickoffice and some tools, but it is obnoxious.
With root, yes. So currently, no. Web Conferencing; useless. Somewhere within the app itself, there is an option to uninstall it. The phone will show up in your Network Devices (assuming your phone is connected to the same WiFi network) As far as I know, TiVo's are not DLNA certified. I never played it, but yes it's a game. It is also removable, as well as Let's Golf 2 PPCGeeks.com Slacker vs Pandora – Or Something Better? DROID 3 by Motorola: Social Location - YouTube Latitude allows contacts and friends know your exact location vis GPS. Foursquare is a social networking service that allows you to tell the world where you are, as well as review the location, recommend it, or give tips about it. Yes.
so.. I did some digging.. what would happen if you went system/app/(application in question) and deleted that? astro gives you the option to.
Thanks for all the answers! Do you know where in the app is the option to uninstall? I couldn't find anything.
When you go into CityID, go to subscription, cancel your free trial (it's pretty inaccurate in my area anyways) and after that it will ask you to remove it and reboot your phone whenever to finish the uninstallation. And btw, citrix is for accessing remote desktops as well. We use it here at my job a lot for designing projects for various buildings. Mostly I am using it to access remote desktops at other offices when working on projects or if I want to work from home since my 4 yr old laptop can't compare to this amazing computer here.
Can you give me simple instructions for how to access my home desktop remotely? That could be very handy. What do I need to install at home, and then how do I access it from the phone?
Go ahead and try it, I can pretty much guarantee it won't work, since that's a root folder. You won't be able to delete it.
Yep.. you're right! I thought I might be able to because it gave me the option! I just got an "error while deleting" message
I'll work on getting you instructions. At work, we had the IT guy program our laptops so I'll see if he's kind enough to explain to us.
Thanks that would be sweet! I'm good at following directions and setting things up, I just hate figuring out how they're done in the first place, so I always ask someone for a starting point.
Actually I found a free VNC app for Android that might do the trick... I'll have to wait until I get home and reinstall VNC on my computer there...
Oh nice! Let me know how that goes, I might try it out cause it's looking a bit complicated to set this up.
