Have you been putting your music, pics, videos, etc., on your SD, or your Internal 8G? I've been putting most on my 8G Class6 SD. Just felt like the phone would continue to run better if that Internal Memory wasn't loaded up? What do you guys think....opinions....?

How fast is mp3 playback on internal memory vs sd?

    Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.

seems fast off of the internal memory. i know seeking through a song is pretty much instantaneous. i don't have any music on my SD or i'd do a quick comparison.

Mm ok. Something I noticed though, whoever wrote the app btunes basically killed sd card lag. Its a lot faster than meridian or stock.

between songs, or while seeking within a song?

maybe the btunes app uses a larger buffer of RAM than others so things are smoother and quicker. just a guess.

I mean all around. Especially noticeable when you select a song from the library while one's already playing. I've had up to 30 seconds(happened once maybe) lag

I use the internal storage for both pics and music. Instant load times are what's keeping making me keep them there. Plus I don't have a comparable sd just yet.

With my class6 SD card, it has been just as fast as with the internal memory....and I almost want to say faster?

I just put stuff wherever. There's so much storage internal and SD, I don't worry about.

I haven't put any music on the phone yet. I keep the pics on the SD card because I use the stock 2.1 gallery and AFAIK, it can't see the internal memory. Is this correct?

You may be right but I'd guess it's more of a placebo effect.

I highly doubt that the DI has the technology to take advantage of class 6 speed. I'd venture to guess that the change in classes has little to no effect on file rendering with the phone.

I have a 16gb class 2 that works absolutely great. No lag between songs. Songs stored to the microsd.

Pics go on my internal. Songs go on my SD (for ringtone purposes, and the like)

I have a 2gig SD and 8 of internal (Incredible) so I moved all my music to internal. Music player is fine but now neither Ringdroid nor aRing nor Sharetones will see the files :(

I miss being able to make ringtones from my music files right on the Droid....not sure if there's a way to work around this. If not, it's a consideration re: where to store music.

How do you tell the Inc where to store things? Telling Inc where to store pics was easy but i'm not sure where my apps are going?!

Apps are save to phone memory. Don't think there is a way to save to sdcard yet ... maybe when rooted.

+1 I leave the phone internal memory available to the system, and I am not so anal that I can wait a second or two for my music to start playing from my SD card. I also store my photos and video shot with the camera on the SD and it plays just fine.

I don't believe the internal storage is "available to the system" since it is a separate partition. In other words, use it or lose it. I may be wrong though...

I'm mostly using the SD card 16gb, I tried putting a video on the internal memorey but the gallery app and the photo app couldn't find it.

My music, photos, downloads and videos are on the SD card.
