this is probably a stupid question, but on the motorola droid what does the little icon mean next to a text that has a little red clock on it? i can't find it anywhere. also, is there a way to see if someone recieved a text message? on my other verizon phones i could.... it showed a little check mark

Do you mean the envelope with a little circle on it and an i in the center? It starts out shaded and small and turns clear and slightly larger when it's been recieved. If you long press on it and they are a Verizon customer you can select "view report" and it will indicate if it has been received or not.
