So it looks like I won't be able to upgrade to the MTS .. So looks like I will be running with my G1 for while longer. Last year I attempeted to root the phone and had 1.6 running on it.. but then the phone just starting freezing so I just went back to stock version ..

So any adivse I what root and version I should run this time.

    Thanks for any advise.

If I can ask why can't you upgrade yet? Did you buy your G1 within the last year? I've always heard T-Mo let's you upgrade smartphones every year.

you can upgrade all you want on tmobile, but if you want a discount on the upgrade your going to have to extend the contract. and if you don't extend you pay full price
