After many many years I made the switch from apple.... I now own the Samsung s7 edge. Great phone so far but I figured I'd post some annoying things I've come across hoping which apple.adressed but not amdroid and maybe someone could help. Thanks.

Watching you tube in Apple you could meet away from screen and go to home page and there'd still be a play button you could hit to continue the video even though screen went to your home/lock mode. Can't seem to seem to do that on Droid.
Iphone keyboard had icon to close keyboard...Droid doesn't.

Welcome to Android Forums and Welcome to ANDROID!

Many Android phones have a function that plays Youtube videos in a little popup window while you go to your homepage or do other things. I'm not sure if the S7 Edge has this or not.

As far as the keyboard goes, just hit the "back" button and the keyboard should close. Works on my Moto X Pure, anyway.

It's great to have you here :)

Just put the "back" button, in Galaxy X it's work.

How about this.. [emoji6] I'm no iOS fan but I've noticed that YouTube performs differently depending on which app version being used and the actual device. Please take into consideration that your S7E is running MM 6.0 (OS), which is extremely new (as far as Mfgr goes) and still getting the bugs worked out. That goes for both the OS and its correlating YouTube.apk.. I bet that if ya give it a few months and possibly an update, you'll be ecstatic. An Android device usually has many more capabilities than any iProduct available from what I can tell.. If I'm incorrect, someone will surely bring it to our attention

    1. Press. Home button when going back to home screen so when you go back to YouTube, you still have the Play button to resume. If you mean the Safari play in background mode, it's a function of Safari browser, not Youtube.

    2. Surfing the net may depend on what Browser you are using. Are you using Chrome? Samsung stock Internet app? Firefox? These apps use different programming that may handle websites differently. Same goes as to why iOS may seem faster. In the end its all relative.

The internet app is Samsung's own browser. If I remember correctlybit uses an engine derived from that used by Firefox, just tweaked. In my experience it's slower loading than either Firefox or Chrome, but well tweaked so it doesn't suffer from lags or hangups.

Google search app is just a search app. If you open something it found, it still opens another browser app.

Another note...again im just trying to help as well by making these comments

When I'm in the phone the log/contacts/favorites are towards the top of the screen. Should be bybthe bottom...easier to access.

Depends on the person. I like how Samsung set it up so that those tabs are on top.
