    Alright I've been lurking for awhile and thanks to this site xda and unrevoked im rooted im running a custom rom (destroyer v2) and have flashed a custom kernal from savage zin....my phone works fine but when I run benchmark test I score lower than a stock evo and it makes me sad what else can I do to increase my phones performance?

    Try a different rom, different kernal, overclock the cpu, stop benchmarking it.

    I think that sums it up. ;)

    Im overclocked already but I guess I will try different rom/kernals thanks for the reply

    There are several things that will cause a low score ....and it isn't necessarily the performance. The biggest thing I see cause low scores is when devs. Make audio code changes...like removing goggles stagefright ....that is a major benefit on the audio side....but the benchmark skips that test resulting in a lower score.

    Gauge performance on actual performance and feel not a silly test. Check out linpack and CPU benchmark in the market as well
