Now that perm root has finally been achieved
what have you done to take advantage of it?
Things I've done:
-Installed Amon Ra recovery and made a nandroid back-up.
-Installed Quickboot from the market to access recovery with one button press.
-Froze all the bloat and other apps I don't use with TI.
-Backed up a bunch of apps I use frequently with TI.
-Changed system font to Roboto using Root Explorer.
Things I still plan to do:
-Change battery icon in status bar to show percentage in 1% increments.
-Get rid of the recent apps list in the notification pull down, which I think is responsible for the lag in the pull down and is redundant since long pressing the home does the same thing.
-Install HTC Hub (if someone mods it to work with the rezound, that is).
I know I need to install a deodexed rom to do some of these things but my phone runs so great, I'm in no rush at the moment.
It's just so nice to finally have perm root and have the freedom to do pretty much what I please. I'm so glad that there are some great devs and helpful people out there working with the rezound. I appreciate all their work but have to give major props to http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=426561scrosler and MrSmith317 from xda, who have been the most helpful for the stuff I wanted to do. Can't wait to see what the future brings.
I love being a superuser.
