I've been using GV as my main ROM all year, and one of the features I use most is the notification power widget. So you'd think that by now I'd know what it does, right? But today I discovered that if I long press the buttons they take me to the corresponding settings menus!

That's 4-5 months it's taken me to find this - longer if the same feature was in DeFroST

So while I'm tendering my resignation as a ROM tester, I just wondered if other people had similar experiences of stumbling across useful features only after using a ROM for a long time?

    Redux doesn't do this.
I think Redux is fairly bare-bones so probably not many undocumented/ hidden features.

Yes, I have a confession to make as well. SUrooT has been helping me sort out one or two issues on my phone and during one issue he said I needed to reboot into recovery whilst I was in recovery. I had to ask how to do that and he pointed out in recovery there is the option Reboot to Recovery [under Advanced on first page]. I seem to spend a lot of time in Recovery but didn't notice that.

Gotta confess I couldn't tell you from memory what all of the advanced options are - I think 9 times out of 10 I go in there it's to wipe dalvik.

Damn! Just tried the PCW mod I have running and there's no long press options. Must be GV/Defrost specific

It's still in miui. Didn't know it was in GV tho, thought it was miui-specific for a bit... ah well
