I can not stand the Social Networking widget that is native to the UI on my DX. It does not update correctly, once you view a comment it is gone & the settings are so limited that you can not even set the update frequency. So I am forced to use an outside app/widget. I loved Friend Stream on Sense UI, but could not stand the HTC EVO. I have been looking into a Galaxy device and the Buddies Now looks awesome. I have also been using a widget that I like a lot, Socialite Beta.
It has a few problems, but it is great. It is the social ui ported from the LG Ally. I think it is a few tweaks from being perfect. I have only noticed a few problems like: after a while the auto updates stop working and it begins to kill my battery, but while the updates are working normally it does not seem to kill my battery. Small bits of lag, but nothing too major. Bottom line, even with the glitches & battery drain, I still have it installed, running and prefer it over anything else I have used.
Also, does anyone know if Friend Stream or Buddies Now have been ported?
