Root Soft keys don't light up

So I'm running nighty 76 incredikernel and the soft keys do not light up but in rare situations. Why don't the buttons light up? Even when charging, the soft key lights don't glimmer! What gives?

Bump. Cos right now I can't see my soft keys but phone is on charger.

So the soft key lights work with auto brightness on. But the screen is too dim.
EDIT: So I turned auto brightness off and now the soft keys light up unlike before.

Has anyone had any issued with the soft keys not being reliable?

Bump. Soft keys still working in nightly 79. Weird that it wasn't working and now it is.

You are on an experimental rom, features will come and go. More likely to find an answer in the cm7 nightly thread.
