Help [solved] what is using my memory up?

My internal memory is getting used up but I can't find out by what. I have 11.8 GB of nternal memory. Using File Command I see my apps and data have used up 5.4GB , but the free space is only 1.9GB so there is 4.5GB missing which is shown as light grey in file command. I want to know how to release this memory for use.

I've read the sticky note and downloaded Truth Memory. But it doesn't help much since it just shows 9.8GB used and 1.9GB free.

Any ideas?

My phone is Xperia Ultra running 5.1.1

Try using this app:

DiskUsage​

it will allow you to explore and drill-down to find/see what files are using space where.

p.s. / edit: my Storage Truth app is just a simple way of displaying how much space is available overall without burdening you with details.

Thanks Scary Alien, Disk Usage was more informative that File Command. I can now see where all my memory has gone. Am I supposed to mark this as solved? I can't see the button for it.
