Somebody stole sim card! HELP


Why is this theif just able to steal my 45 dollars worth of service and there is nothing that can be done. Cant straight talk verify that i and my phone are legit, cancel the service on the sim that the theif took, and send me a new one to be put into my phone? He only stole my sim card. Why must i be out 45 $ i cant afford this. Im so upset! Please dont let the theif win! Thos isnt fair. Please help me straight talk

That is something only Straight Talk can do. It's their SIM (literally), they can disconnect it from the service and account. Surely they have procedures to identify a customer? Ask to speak to a supervisor if first line customer service can't help.

However, you've not said whether this is a contract or pre-pay - I can imagine the latter being trickier (and don't know how much info they have about pre-pay customers). And if it's prepay the credit may be spent by the time you sort this.

Did you report the theft to the police? I don't know Straight Talk's procedures, but for some things having a police reference helps. Straight Talk should be able to tell you whether that's the case here.

1st, report it stolen and get a copy of the police report 2nd, Call straight talk and tell them it's been reported as stolen and you have a police report, and you want that Sim deactivated and new one to replace it.
