NFL: Should a losing team make the playoffs? - Yahoo! Sports

All of the sudden people wanna change rules cause the nfc west might send a below .500 team. Who cares...that whole division (besides 49ers) have absolutely no talent or in the process of rebuilding. I how the nfc west gets deep into the playoff to make these nfl anaylist shut the hell up!!!!

People always want to change playoff format. I think its fine the way it is. If you just seed by record its rather boring and you might as well not even have divisions.

I don't think they should change it but it is pretty weak if a sub .500 team makes the playoffs.

It's funny they want to realign now when the league is seeing the most parity it has ever seen in quite some time.

same happens in all sports not just nfl. look at nba 41-41 in the east is a playoff team whereas 49-33 in the west might have you missing the playoffs some years. so sure this year an 8-8 nfc team is likely to make the playoff and a 10-6 afc team might not. thats just the way it is
