I may do.....depends if it has HTC Sense on it or something similar that has been built for the G-Phone (if it yet exists).....

Roll on 2.1 for the Hero - still love the phone, despite a bit of slowing down occasionally, though hopefully this may get tweaked.

Will wait and see what 2.1 brings.I will defiantly be staying with the android platform.
But I'm yet to be convinced the I want to stop with HTC as a phone manufacturer.
I've had a few software problems and had it not been for this site being so helpful I would have got rid of the hero a long time ago.

HTC customer support has been appalling and no official news updates other than those on Twitter.

Nope, I am happy with my Hero, and will only move to another Android handset in ~2 years, if something really good is available by then. Hero has set the bar quite high for me.

Nope. Will upgrade in a year and a bit, will see what's about then. Don't see any real need to get excited by a phone just because it's by google. In fact, with google's attitude to privacy i'm starting to worry about android as a platform full stop.

To be honest, I'd also be tempted by the HTC Legend, looks very nice and has better specs than Hero. I do love my Hero but sometimes the sluggishness gets on my nerves and makes me want to upgrade.

I too like the look of the Legend, Bump im processor speed, if it comes with a AMOLED screen like rumored I may be tempted to jump ship.

  • 600MHz vs. 528MHz
  • AMOLED vs. LCD
  • 16million vs. 26k colors
  • Flash vs. No flash
  • Optical Mouse vs. Trackball
and all in the same beautiful package as the hero, but more refined, with an updated sense ui. If the Hero gets updated to the same software (Android 2.1 with the new Sense UI) then I may stay with what I have, but if the legend is under

I'll maybe also look at the Snapdragon phone (was that Bravo?)

I think that IS the Google phone. However, HTC might release the Passion/Bravo on their own to carriers. Who knows at this point... so much speculation. :p
