    Hi all!

SO I open the market (that has a billion apps in it), and I am trying to sort the results by rateing, or popularity or something. Surely there must be some way to filter them.

    Am I totally missing something?

Also - locale sounds cool - lots of people recomend it, but when I search for that I get like 50 results that all look like they could be the "right" one. what one do I want? it is a paid app right?

    Kev.

No, sorting features are hugely lacking. Unless you know what it is you are searching for it can be very difficult...

I would like to see extended sorting as well as a bookmark section for items I may want to buy at a later time.

Market only has 38xxx apps, not a billion. Grow up. ;)

For real though, androlib is key, highly recommend it.

If your on the N1 the best way to sort apps in the market app is to click apps at the top then go through the catagories (top paid, free, communication, etc...)

Search the market for AppBrain. Nice addition to market seaching on your phone combined with a good online http interface to set everything up from your computer and just sync it on the phone later :)
